Pharmacyclics is seeking a PhD level immunologist to join our team in developing novel small-molecule therapeutics for lymphoma and immune mediated diseases. Initial responsibilities will include designing and implementing experiments to compare the effects of kinase inhibitors in mouse inflammation models, including mechanistic studies and the development of pharmacodynamic assays for translation to the clinic. Other responsibilities include presenting research at immunology meetings, publishing, and collaborating with academic labs. This position offers the opportunity for a well-trained basic scientist to make the transition to working in drug development as part of a small and highly collaborative group of researchers. There are significant opportunities for career growth as Pharmacyclics moves new therapeutics into clinical trials.
Job Requirements:
Post-docs and highly qualified recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with in vitro and in vivo assays of lymphocyte function and be up-to-date with current research in autoimmunity. Candidate should be independent, organized, and technically proficient in flow cytometry. In addition, candidate should be able to rapidly develop new experimental methods and must be comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
